Akyaka’s daily tours are connected to Marmaris, as the distance between Marmaris and Akyaka is approximately 25 km. Despite Akyaka’s recent popularity as a favored holiday destination, unfortunately, there is no horse safari tour starting directly from the town center. Many guests interested in joining the Akyaka horse safari tour arrive at our central office in Marmaris using public transportation or their private vehicles. You can comfortably join the tour by parking your car in the vicinity of our office in Marmaris. If you wish to participate in the Akyaka horse safari tour, you can contact us to make a reservation.
The Akyaka horse safari tour takes place 17 km outside of Marmaris, away from traffic, amid forest paths filled with the sounds of birds and fields of poppies. The tour is suitable for riders of all ages and levels, and we have special groups for both experienced and inexperienced riders. We ensure that our guests experience quality service with well-trained horses, meeting their capacity and safety requirements.
The Akyaka horse safari tour lasts a total of 3 hours, with approximately 1.30 hours spent riding the horses. Professional riders can, if desired, engage in riding outside the group and under the guidance of an instructor, and this should be arranged in advance. The tour is suitable for participants of all age groups, from 7 to 77. The horse ride is conducted with instructors, especially selected horses for beginners. Children aged 12 and above can participate in horse riding, and with parental permission, those aged 7 and above can also enjoy this activity. The entire activity spans 4 hours, including transfer to the safari area, return, tour information, and preparation. Riding the horses takes around 1 hour and 15 minutes. Marmaris horse safari sessions are held every day at 10:00, 12:00, 14:00, and 16:00. These session times also correspond to the pick-up times for guests from hotels or their locations.
Is the Akyaka Horse Safari Tour Dangerous?
The horse safari tour is not considered dangerous. It involves selecting gentle, balanced, and trained horses for the tour, which takes place in a convoy under the supervision/guidance of instructors. However, despite all precautions, participants must be aware that they are on an animal during this tour. The horse safari tour falls into the category of the unusual ‘Extreme’ sports. Although our horses are well-trained, they will respond to any negative behavior exhibited by participants. Participants may find themselves in a risky situation if they provoke the horse, cause harm, or disregard the instructions given by the instructor.

Holiday Package Contents
For our activity organized in 4 sessions throughout the day, we pick you up with our private shuttle. We take you to our ranch located 17 km (15 min) outside of Marmaris. After the briefing by our guides at the ranch, you choose the horse that suits you best.
We start our safari program with the guidance of our instructors. The first stage involves a 45-minute slow ride and acclimatization, followed by a 10-minute break. In the second stage, we split into two groups: the first group for normal riding and the second group for fast riding. You can choose to continue in the group that suits you. During the safari, we cross rivers and climb hills. The forest paths where the activity is organized are exclusively allocated for horse riders, and all safety measures are taken by our company.
After our horse ride, we return to the starting point. Later, we take you back with our shuttle services.
